Writing verses for greeting cards can
be a fun and easy way for
song
writers poets and lyricists
to make
money writing. In fact, many
writers
earn a lot of money writing greeting
cards.  After all, people will always
celebrate anniversaries, birthdays,
Valentine's Day, and many other
occasions by giving someone a
greeting card.  Greeting cards sell for
several dollars each, and if you were
to multiply that by the millions of cards
sold each year, it's easy to see how

songwriters, poets and lyricists
can
make a lot of money writing greeting
cards in their spare time.
Not everyone has the talent to be able
to write from the heart, which is why
greeting card companies often turn to
poets, lyricists and songwriters to
write what is basically
poetry.

Because this can be done from home
and in your spare-time,
songwriters
and poets can get started fairly quickly
and quite easily.  Take a trip to a store
that sells greeting cards and browse
them until you get a feel for the type of
cards you'd like to write. When you get
home, try writing some
poems/verses
that would make good greeting cards.
When you've written a few good
greeting cards,  it's time submit them
to greeting card companies!
